Colemanite with the chemical formula Ca2B6O11·5H2O is a mineral stone. The name of this material is taken from the name of the American businessman Coleman. It was discovered for the first time in Turkey and in terms of its prismatic crystal shape, it is a glass polish with monoclinic crystallization system and classified as borate. It has no magnetic property and its origin is sedimentary. The main component of colemanite is boron oxide and it has other compounds such as silica, alumina, calcium, magnesium, manganese and volatile components.
In recent years, with the discovery of colemanite mines in Iran, Iran can be named as the second colemanite deposit in the region after Turkey.
