Iron (III) chloride, which is also called ferric chloride, is a chemical compound with the formula FeCl3 and trivalent iron.
Iron (III) chloride is obtained from the direct combination of chlorine gas with iron under suitable thermal conditions or from the combination of hydrochloric acid with iron.
Iron (III) chloride solution in high concentrations with six water molecules turns into yellow or orange colored crystals and contains 60% of iron (III) chloride mass.
