Experts to Study Petchem Fire Environmental Damage

TEHRAN, July 10 (Shana) – Director of the Maritime Pollution Investigation Department at the Department of Environment (DoE) Ziaeddin Almasi says a team of experts are to examine the degree of environment pollution caused by fire at the Storage Tank 2001C and Paraxyele Tower of Bou Ali Sina Petrochemical Plant.

Almasi told Shana that such an investigation has not yet started.

He said the organ responsible for damage on turtles, marine creatures and lagoons, that lie in the ecosystem around the area of disaster, should be accountable.
